Moneypenny Headquarters

Interior Design

Working with the UK’s leading telephone answering service, Moneypenny, to deliver an award-winning £15m flagship headquarters in Wrexham, known as ‘the happiest office in the land’.

People are at the heart of Moneypenny’s business and the brief reflected the importance of its team and the desire to create an inspiring working environment for them. We designed the building from the inside out, starting by listening to the people.

What we believe is simple: the happier our staff, the happier our clients. We provided our architects with the same budget we'd been quoted to build a standard office and said 'right, show us how we can create something amazing'.

We arranged the 91,000ft² office around a triple height atrium with a restaurant, bleacher seating and pub all overlooked by a treehouse meeting room. The atrium breaks out into 10 acres of landscaped grounds including a pond, wetlands, an orchard and a woodland nature trail for staff. 3D authoring was used to develop and communicate the design, including the co-ordination of numerous sustainable measures to help reduce running costs and increase staff comfort, the most significant being the hybrid mixed mode strategy.

It was a real honour to be chosen to work with such an exciting, forward thinking company such as Moneypenny. We worked hard with the whole team to innovate and create an amazing office on a tight budget that has successfully delivered on so many levels… not only has it created an amazing environment for the staff, but it has measurably improved the performance of Moneypenny’s business with reduced staff attrition, reduced sickness, improved productivity and increased client retention, all meaning improved profitability for the client!
