We’re delighted to share that we’ve joined the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter – bringing the total number of members to over 100!
The Charter is a voluntary membership and assessment scheme that aims to raise employment standards across the region regardless of an organisation’s size, sector or geography. It identifies seven key characteristics of good employment which companies must evidence to become a member:
- Secure work
- Flexible work
- Pay
- Engagement & Voice
- Recruitment
- People Management
- Health & Wellbeing
The Charter also helps ensure diverse, equal and inclusive working conditions across Greater Manchester with Members encouraged to embrace the seven characteristics in ways that ensure fair pay, opportunity and progression to all.
“We were already supporters of the Charter, so it was the natural next step to become members. Fundamentally, we align with the purpose of the Charter, ensuring great standards of employment are met, and that those standards are reflected and benefit people, society, and the economy.” – Karey Wardhaugh
The achievement follows a successful 12 months for AEW which also saw us named in The Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work list 2023.
