Following a planning application late last year, we were delighted to see Flintshire County Council grant our project for Industrie Cartarie Tronchetti (ICT) planning approval last month.
Our proposals for ICT comprise a new 1.3m sq ft manufacturing facility on a 23.74 ha site within Flintshire’s Northern Gateway area. The proposals for the facility have been carefully designed to allow for its phased development, with the delivery of the manufacturing, storage and distribution areas as well as ancillary buildings and plant carefully timetabled to meet the commercial needs of ICT. The proposals also include a purpose-built office building.
It is hoped that redeveloping this part of the former RAF Sealand site will result in the creation of over 400 jobs and provide a multi-million pound boost to the area’s economy. The Welsh Government has provided £5m towards the facility as part of a larger investment to move the development of the Northern Gateway forward.
We are working alongside BWB, RPS, Curtins, Cundall, Amion, Tyler Grange, Spawforths, SGi Consulting Engineers, Arcadis and Barry Chinn Landscape Architects on the scheme.
