Following his completion of the Passive House Institute’s final exam, we’re delighted to announce that Architect Dan Sutton has become a Certified Passive House Designer.
This qualification is testament to Dan’s hard work studying Passivhaus design, as well as his extensive experience working on some of our most high-profile accommodation projects across the North West.
It has been ten years since the UK’s first Passivhaus building and since then, uptake of the ultra-low-energy design approach has increased, with over 1400 certified Passivhaus ‘units’ completed to date and 7,000 currently under development. Most of these buildings in the UK are commissioned by housing associations and ecologically concerned private clients and we look forward to working with both in the future to deliver more sustainable homes.
Supporting Dan to undertake this training and qualification is a further demonstration of our commitment to energy efficiency and taking action on climate change. These inhouse expertise also broaden our sustainability offer which already includes BREEAM Accredited Professional services and whole life-cycle assessments.
