Congratulations to Architect Danny Lomax who has recently passed his Level 5 Diploma in Retrofit Coordination and Risk Management and is now in a position to carry out the role of a Retrofit Coordinator on PAS 2035 compliant projects.
The role of the Retrofit Coordinator was introduced by PAS 2035, a specification which outlines the necessary standards for domestic Retrofit works and is mandatory on all domestic Retrofit projects delivered under TrustMark. Retrofit Coordinators manage the PAS 2035 process throughout a Retrofit project, ensuring compliance with all procurement, specification and delivery standards.
Colin Savage, Commercial Director, said of the news “With an ever-growing portfolio of refurbishment work in the residential sector, it’s great to see Danny now qualified in this area. It will enable us to grow our work in the Retrofit sector and provide us with an in-house expert to call upon for best practice advice on all our projects.”
Danny shares this enthusiasm:
“The course not only provided me with a comprehensive understanding of retrofit techniques and an in-depth grasp of PAS 2035, coordination, and risk management, but it also greatly enriched my role as an Architect and designer specialising in domestic Retrofit. Additionally, it equipped me with a solid foundation in building science – knowledge that extends beyond Retrofit and is equally applicable to new build projects.”
With Danny now qualified, we look forward to working with our residential clients to update their residences to create warm, comfortable, energy efficient homes that meet sustainability aspirations. Please get in touch if you have any projects we can assist you with.
