Our End-of-Year Presentation provided not only an opportunity to review our annual performance and plans for the future but also the occasion for an exciting announcement. We are delighted to share that four of our architects – Charlotte Fuller, Danny Lomax, Rebekah Parkinson, and Tom Fantom-Claire – have been promoted to the role of Associate.
Charlotte joined AEW as an Architect in April 2021 and since, has continued to make remarkable strides. She has led several industrial projects for major clients like Mileway and has played an instrumental role in our charity and volunteer initiatives, serving as Chair of the Social Value Committee for the past two years. Outside of work, Charlotte also contributes to the Manchester Society of Architects (MSA) Committee.
Danny joined AEW in 2017 and completed his Part II qualification on a part-time basis, later qualifying as an architect in 2022 and a Retrofit Designer in 2023. With extensive residential experience and growing expertise in retrofit, Danny now leads teams on multiple recladding and refurbishment projects across the UK. His recent work includes the Morland House and Talbot Grove House projects in London, both of which have recently received planning approval.
Rebekah first joined AEW as a work experience student, later completing her Part I and II placements with us before qualifying as an architect in 2021. Throughout her time at AEW, Rebekah has worked across a diverse range of sectors and on some of our most high-profile projects. Currently, she serves as the architectural lead for our Accrington Town Centre and JD Sports HQ projects. Drawing on her experience, Rebekah also mentors Part I and II students within the team.
Tom, who also joined AEW as a Part I, completed all his professional studies with us and qualified as an architect in 2020. A highly skilled architect and industrial specialist, Tom works nationwide with some of our largest industrial clients, including Harworth, Muse, Panattoni, and Tritax. Like Rebekah, Tom also provides mentoring support to our Part I and II students.
Reflecting on the promotions, Managing Director Andy Rainford stated: “Following another strong year, it was fantastic to announce this series of promotions at our End-of-Year Presentation and recognise Charlotte, Danny, Rebekah, and Tom’s contributions. These promotions will also help ensure our Management Team is positioned to maintain the high standards of project and service delivery we’ve achieved in recent years.
“It’s especially rewarding to see team members progress from their work experience and Part I placements to the Management Team, underscoring the emphasis we place on training, development, and career progression as an Investors in Gold-accredited practice.”
This news follows a strong month for our Team which also saw three members – Rebecca Chin, Jennifer Shields and Kyra Jennings – become Architects, following the completion of their RIBA Part III exams.
