Congratulations to Interior Designer Kate Bond, who this week has been named in Mix interior’s “30 Under 30: Class of 2023”. The respected list recognises the “trailblazers from commercial interior design and architecture” nationwide and it’s therefore great to see Kate join such a strong line up.
Since joining the practice a year ago, Kate’s passion and enthusiasm has been evidence in all her projects. Her prior experience in high-end residential, combined with the commercial expertise gained at AEW has seen her successfully balance high-quality design with a robust understanding of project viability and sustainability. This success is no more apparent than at the Manchester Day Room for Ronald McDonald House Charities. Here, Kate has helped transform a 120 sqm lounge for residents of the house, all to a strict budget. The feedback has been second to none, with staff and visitors overjoyed with the space Kate has created for them and “surpassing all our expectations”.
Beyond project work, Kate has immersed herself in the Manchester design community and has joined an array of events and organisations, including becoming a member of Women in Property. She’s built strong relationships across a wide range of industry suppliers and shares knowledge gained across the practice – always with a focus on sustainable manufacturers and suppliers.
Associate Interior Designer, and former 30 under 30 finalist, Liz Durcan said:
“It’s great to see Kate’s hard work rewarded with this accolade. In a short space of time, she has become a key member of the team, motivating others and demonstrating a collaborative approach in everything she does – with the benefits for our clients evident.”
Kate and the team look forward to celebrating with the other “trailblazers” this September! See the full class of 2023 line up here.
