Working with developer Quorum, we have submitted a planning application for two industrial units on a three-acre site off George Richards Way in Broadheath, Altrincham. The site was formerly home to the Cartwright Trailer Company.
The first of the proposed buildings will offer 37,000 sqft of space, including room for offices and a mezzanine. The second will offer 25,000 sqft.
The architectural language of the units is in keeping with other industrial units in the surrounding area and has evolved to address issues of scale, materiality and creating visual interest in line with relevant planning policies.
“These two new units will provide best in class accommodation aimed at the increasingly active SME market,”
said Knight Frank industrial and logistics partner Sam Royle.
“They will help meet increasing demand across the South Manchester market where there is a distinct lack of available modern stock and record low vacancy rates,” he continued.
If the application to Trafford Council is successful, Quorum plans to start work on the site in summer 2022 and complete both units in early 2023.
