Spreading festive cheer for RMHC this Christmas
Share Article
It’s that time of year again! This Christmas we’ve been spreading festive cheer through our continued support of Ronald McDonald House Charities UK (RMHC).
For over 15 years, we’ve partnered with RMHC to help design new Houses, volunteer our time and raise money for their vital work – providing accommodation to the families of ill children being treated at nearby hospitals.
This Christmas, we’ve pulled out all the stops to raise further funds for the charity and support residents. Together we’ve:
- Hosted our big Christmas jumper lunch and raffle
- Made and sold Christmas decorations
- Decorated the Manchester House’s reception window with a festive scene
- Volunteered our time to clean and maintain the Alder Hey House.
- Taken two tables, and volunteered, at the RMH Manchester Gala Dinner
Together we raised over £400, which AEW have more than doubled, bringing our total donation to £1,000. We are continuing to raise funds until the Christmas break here.
As a B Corp, we place a strong focus on supporting communities and the environment, and we aim to embed social value throughout our operations. Our longstanding support of RMHC is just one part of this. We design for all, engaging with the communities in which we work to ensure that social benefits are maximised for the people who live, work and socialise in the spaces we create. We fundraise and volunteer, helping to improve local skills and employment, support business growth and drive social innovation. We also invest in education and jobs to continually develop and support our team and locals to our projects. See more about our approach here.
