As another successful year draws to a close, we’re excited to announce we have achieved Investors In People ‘We Invest In Wellbeing’ Gold. In doing so, AEW has joined 15,000 organisations globally who have made work and the workplace a healthier place for over 11 million people – socially, physically and psychologically.
The ‘We Invest In Wellbeing’ Framework reviews workplace environments based on quality and safety, as well as how people feel about their work and the working culture they experience. Focusing on social aspects (a positive culture of teamwork, trust, and respect within an inclusive workplace), physical aspects (physical activity, nutrition, musculoskeletal and environmental elements of the workplace) and psychological aspects (having facilities to support people, being comfortable opening up about experiences with mental health and feeling able to disagree with people in senior roles). Karey Wardhaugh, People Manager, said:
“The wellbeing our of our people is fundamental to all tht we do in the practice. To provide an environment where the team feel supported and can thrive is so important to us. We’re delighted to have our efforts recognised and be awarded the Gold accreditation by Investors in People.”
Achieving IIP Gold accreditation is a testament to our good wellbeing strategy enabling our people opportunities to work and socialise in dedicated spaces. Cultivating a space for people to feel comfortable expressing, understanding, and supporting each other’s mental health. Ensuring we foster an environment where we can work better. Alex Southall, Director, said:
“The IIP Wellbeing Gold accreditation highlights AEW’s commitment to ensuring everyone in our business feels comfortable expressing themselves and are able to seek support when they need it. Seeing the positive feedback from the questionnaires submitted by the team about our culture is something we are immeasurably proud of.”
This accreditation is just the latest recognition of AEW’s people first approach, with 2023 also seeing the practice become a member of the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter and be named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List.
