We’re delighted to announce that we have made a number of strategic promotions as we look towards another year of continued growth.
Danielle Purves and Alex Southall have both been promoted to the role of Director, joining Managing Director Andrew Rainford and Directors Colin Savage, Alan Lamb and Phil Hepworth to lead the practice.
Alex originally joined Aew in 2005 as a Part I and since then has risen through the practice, becoming an Associate Director in 2017. With a strong track record in the sector, Alex will co-lead Aew’s growing portfolio of industrial projects. He will also continue to lead the practice’s work with Ronald McDonald House Charities UK nationwide.
Danielle also joined Aew in 2005 as a junior interior designer, working her way up to becoming an Associate Director in 2010. Danielle has worked extensively with longstanding clients McDonald’s Restaurants and Domino’s Pizza during her career and will now take the lead in the practice’s retail roll-out work. She will also continue to lead the practice’s interior design team, working across all sectors.
The appointments to Director level are reinforced with several other Senior Leadership Team and management promotions. Ben Robinson and Dave Somers have been promoted to the role of Associate Director and Hannah Cook and Ben Smith have been made Associates.
Elsewhere, Peter Bartley has joined the practice as Sustainability Manager and Dan Sutton has become an Accredited Passivehaus designer, to support us to achieve our net zero carbon targets and help diversify our sustainability service offer.
Andy Rainford, Managing Director said:
“It’s fantastic to recognise the significant contribution of two longstanding members of the team with their promotion to Directors, which really reflects our strong culture of development and progression from within. Both Alex and Danielle have excelled in client service and project delivery over many years and will add strength and diversity to the board.”
“The Director appointments are accompanied by further thoroughly well-deserved promotions across the practice, as we both recognise the specialist skills, knowledge and experience of our team and also bolster our management structure as we continue to improve and grow the practice.”
The senior leadership team restructure is a key part of our growth strategy, allowing us to better manage our 80+ strong team and better service our projects across the North West and beyond.
