Our Sale West Phase 3 Plans Approved

We are delighted to announce that our proposals for Phase 3 of the Sale West Estate have received planning approval.

Working with the Irwell Valley Housing Association, and following the success of Phases 1 and 2 which saw the delivery of 184 homes, Phase 3 will see the introduction of a further 66 affordable, low energy dwellings across three separate blocks. These homes will include a mix of general needs wheelchair adaptable apartments as well as accommodation for over 55s and those requiring assisted living. . The scheme is designed to Passivhaus standards and will encourage residents to live more sustainably through energy efficient methodologies. In addition, the project aims to enrich the community by introducing a great diversity of homes fore residents with different and changing needs.

Associate and Certified Passivhaus Designer Daniel Sutton said:

“Working on the Sale West Phase 3 project has been a rewarding experience. Over the past five years, we have had the privilege of collaborating closely with Irwell Valley, Our Sale West, and many dedicated community members through the earlier phases of this initiative. These new, energy-efficient homes are a vital addition to the Sale West Masterplan, creating sustainable, high quality living in the heart of the community. Designed to support multiple generations, these apartments represent not just new housing, but a meaningful investment in the future of Sale West.”

Our retrofit and sustainability portfolio is growing with recent planning successes in Newton Heath, a 312 home retrofit in Manchester, a sustainable self storage facility in Denton, the BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ Cheadle Eco Business Park and Talbot Grove and Morland House – part of the Lancaster West Neighbourhood Estate in London.
