Planning Approval for Redditch Town Hall

Following close collaboration with Redditch Borough Council, we are pleased to announce that our proposals for the transformation of Redditch Town Hall gained planning consent last month.
The project, which we have provided architectural and interior design services for, will see the enhancement and expansion of the existing Town Hall to create a new “one stop” civic hub for the local community.
The final design includes the extension of the building and the provision of a new ground floor entrance with double-height reception area. This leads on to a central circulation and focal space with a variety of new and existing amenities and offices accessed from it. These include Adult Social Care, Job Centre Plus and the Citizens Advice Bureau.
The project includes the relocation of Redditch Library from its current building into the extended Town Hall. This strategic move will offer an enhanced library facility for the community, whilst supporting the wider regeneration of the town by freeing-up the site for redevelopment.
Redditch Business Improvement District (BID) manager Muj Rahman said: “…By consolidating different organisations within a central location, the hub can provide a convenient and multifunctional space for community members to access a range of resources, including library services.”
“This approach fosters collaboration and synergy among different organisations, potentially leading to increased efficiency and effectiveness in delivering services to the public.”
We look forward to seeing the plans come to life in the coming months.
