We were excited to see work start on site at Max Spielmann’s new facility this month. The AEW designed development, located at Power Road in Bromborough, represents a significant investment by the Timpson Group, which has owned photo printing specialist Max Spielmann since 2008.
The £8m project will transform a 9.5-acre site into a 77,400 sq ft warehouse, incorporating modern storage and distribution facilities, internal mezzanine offices, and ample car parking. The design ensures that the new facility meets Max Spielmann’s operational needs while providing a contemporary and efficient workspace.
Wirral Council granted planning consent for our design in April last year, paving the way for construction to begin. The site, previously home to an office block, will soon be repurposed to support Max Spielmann’s continued growth and expansion.
Caddick Construction has been appointed as the main contractor, marking its first collaboration with the Timpson Group. The project is set for completion in September 2025.
Sir John Timpson, chairman and owner of Timpson Group, highlighted the importance of the project, stating: “..This new development on Power Road marks an important step in our plans to strengthen the Max Spielmann business for its future growth…”
